#Made the blog full width
#Removed accesskeys until more standard and better supported

#Make a decent footer
#Rework services to be more representative
#Test microformats export properly
#Generally pimp portfolio
#Make CSS demo in current style
#Write accessibility help pages
#Make generic pages such as privacy

Fancied a bit of a change so have gone for a dark reskin. It's just the first draft but as I don't get much time I've done straight to live and I'll smooth off the edges as and when I can.

Search engines are complex things and getting to the top can be no mean feat.
There are a lot of different factors, some more obvious than others; the wording of your web address, the age of your site with keywords becoming less and less important in the major engines, due to the ease of manipulation.
But the key factor is LINKS ... lots n lots of links!
Getting links back to your site is essential for a web presence, both quality and volume help. Links from relevant sites have more importance than random ones and high ranked sites will give more benefit than your cousins blog … but they all count.
Some directories do offer value for money, especially in highly competitive fields where the only way to get on is ‘with a little help from your friends’ but there are lots of ways to improve your sites visibility.
How do you get links?
Avoid paying for links on link farms, the search engines know these are just an SEO ploy and devalue them accordingly.
Use your web address in forums and blogs; if you’re into a certain subject and visiting forums on the same subject, everytime you make a post [note: relevance] your link will be displayed.
I’m not saying go off and start putting it everywhere, but as your web address gets around you’ll also pick up passing traffic from curious clickers.
We offer an SEO service that for a one off charge of £50 will get you on your way. If your site was made by us then you will probably be already placing well for your keywords, but an SEO boost will get you a few places closer to the sacred number one spot.
